I struggled with a title for this blog post. I asked the subject (Little Lucy). She looked through the photos of herself and named them, "Rainbow Mover". This tiny dancer started ballet class this week. She has been standing on tippy toes since she started stumbling around on two feet. Before class she delighted in trying on her new ballet clothes, accessorizing with her jewelry and trying out some of her moves. I must admit I was teary eyed throughout her first class. Time moves so quickly and she fills my heart with such joy. While I get so excited for each new milestone and adventure, I also long for time to stand still. I need more time, more stillness, to really savor and treasure each precious moment. Photography helps me somehow... I know I can not stop the clock but my hope is that by capturing some of those perfect moments in time, I can, at least, look back and remember. Today I remember my Rainbow Mover, the smallest girl in ballet class that I am certain can, and will, move more than just rainbows.
