We've been having a few of those amazing, Oregon fall days and this was one of them. The icing on the cake is getting to photograph your friends families. I don't know if these two kiddos are just naturals in front of the camera, or they felt super comfortable since they see me around quite a bit, but either way take a peek at their adorable smiles.

It has been a few years since I have had the pleasure to photograph this lovely family. As I dive back into my photography business it is rewarding to be able to reconnect with families. We were able to find some early fall color on this gorgeous day. Mt. Tabor is one of my favorite Portland parks. I am grateful for adventurous families willing to hike up and meet me at the top! Happy Fall!
One of the things I enjoy most about being a photographer is the opportunity to sustain relationships with clients and watch their families grow. I last saw this little beauty just days after she was born. A year later and she is busy exploring, jumping and running all over the park! The leaves are changing colors and the air is finally cooling down here in Portland, Oregon. I must admit that Fall is my favorite season. Take a peek at these photos and you might see why.
School is back in session and I am back working! I haven't offered any mini sessions in a few years so this is your chance. I am offering two locations (one east side Portland, one westside Beaverton) and my morning sessions booked so quickly that I decided to offer up some afternoon sessions as well. If you are looking for a full family session, I have limited availability until after December but please inquire and I will try to fit you in. Email or call to reserve your time and let's capture some memories together!
Our weather is finally starting to warm up in the Pacific Northwest, however, the month of April was long and rainy. This sunny studio session was meant to cheer me up and capture a few spring portraits of my little loves. Our little mister is 1 1/2 years this month and his big sister turns 6 in a few short months. They grow too fast and I am so thankful for these precious moments to look back and remember when... Now is the time to get outside and book your family spring/summer sessions. I am still limited to only a few sessions per month, so plan ahead and book soon!
Each time I have the honor of photographing a new baby, I fall a little bit in love. I am in awe of their newness, the tiny fingers and toes. It is easy to see that this beautiful, baby girl is surrounded by love. Welcome to the world Emilia!
I haven't blogged about my own kids in a while now (keeping up with two means that I am busy ALL the time!) We made it back to the Tulip Festival this year. No rain, a lot of mud and the blooms weren't quite in their full glory yet. However, we had a great day whooping it up on the Cow Train, watching Lucy enjoy all of the activities and letting Gabe run wild in the tulip fields. After a very cold and rainy winter, I am in extra awe of the beauty that Spring brings to Oregon.
You can't tell it from the photographs, but we spent over an hour just getting this beautiful little miss to step away from her mama. However, by the time we rolled out the cake, she knew exactly what to do and wasn't shy at all about delighting in everything there is to love about birthday cake. Here in Portland, Oregon we are finally starting to see a few days without the drizzle, however a studio session is always a safe bet during our rainy season. I am dreaming about getting outside to photograph your families and now is the time to start booking spring/summer sessions. Contact me soon to reserve a spot!
The last time I met with this sweet family, their youngest was just a baby! Since then, they moved to Denver and now back to Oregon again. I am so glad they asked me out to their "farm" to tromp around. This session is exactly what I love most about photography. Getting to capture the everyday moments in their happy place, where they feel most comfortable - their home! And the best part was, we were able to hang out inside while it rained and zip outside for a few shots when the drizzle stopped for a minute or two.
After rescheduling this shoot due to rain, we lucked out with gorgeous skies and plenty of late afternoon sunshine. I had the opportunity to photograph this young man's older sister a few years ago and now it is Ian's turn to shine! He was a dream to photograph and as you can see, a model-worthy subject. As with many high school guys, these pictures are mostly for his mother, but I think there are a few that Ian will like too. This handsome guy is ready to tackle some college ball next year as he transitions onward to the next part of his journey. Best wishes for an excellent senior year Ian!
